Flight ONE The very new integrated amplifier Flight 0NE offers audio performances very similar to those of a Pre-Power set, since it employs all AUDIA innovations existing in Flight series products. The combination in the same chassis of a preamplifier and a power amplifier allows to obtain clear advantages such as: drastic reduction of the connections, optimisation of the interface between the pre and final stages, reduction of the sizes, lowering of the costs. Flight ONE consists of two 100Wrms high bias amplifìers, with 300VA toroidal transformers, "current-feedback" circuitry, aged and selected IGBT output devices, stabilized supply up to the drivers, electronic protections operating on exceeding current output and maximum temperature on the output devices; protections do not limit or interfere with the signal, they only commute the unit in stand-by. The preamp section includes an input "buffer", a digitally controlled attenuation network for the volume and a gain stage. Flight ONE has six of these preamplifiers and it allows, when inserted in an audio/video system, the master volume control of the entire set. It is possible to regulate the gain on each input and also the phase for the stereo inputs. Obviously, the preamplification section has two supply units, each feeding one of the channels. Flight ONE includes microprocessor control logic to manage the functions; a point matrix system conveys all informations to the user, and the unit is remote controllable through it's exclusive handset. An internal phono MM/MC board is available as an optional item. The 100µm copper thickness of all the printed circuits, the extensive use of selected components, four toroidal transformers and an accurate study of the signal path and of the grounding, allowed to obtain an awesome product that is at the top of its category.
